About Us

In 1992, Kabir Ahmed Bhuiyan and Md. Saiful Islam envisioned establishing a fully equipped private hospital in Dhaka. To turn their vision into reality, they sought advice from owners of reputed hospitals and eminent doctors in the country. Kabir Ahmed Bhuiyan also visited hospitals in Singapore, Bangkok, Malaysia, and India, studying their business models, management strategies, administrative techniques, service types, and standards. Based on these insights, they decided to create a modern hospital in Dhaka, offering a complete range of diagnostic facilities and medical treatments under one roof.

This vision materialised in 1993 with the establishment of Comfort Diagnostic Centre (Pvt) Ltd and Comfort Nursing Home (Pvt) Ltd, initially operating from a rented building in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. Comfort quickly gained popularity among patients and doctors due to its superior services and patient-focused care. As demand grew, it became evident that a larger, dedicated facility was needed.

In response, an 11-storey hospital building was constructed in a prime location in Dhaka. In October 1999, Comfort shifted its operations to this new complex, equipped with world-class medical technology to support a modern diagnostic centre and hospital. At that time, Comfort was the first private institution in Bangladesh to provide such comprehensive healthcare services under one roof.

To accommodate even more clients, Comfort later expanded by opening a branch in Uttara Model Town, Dhaka, solidifying its reputation as a leader in private healthcare in Bangladesh.
